Craniopathy Technique

This technique was founded by a Chiropractor who had, unfortunately, lost his purpose in life as a young man. One day, before he had the opportunity to jump off a bridge to a deep abyss, he felt a hand touch his shoulder. He then heard a voice behind him saying “It isn’t your time yet. There are great things waiting for you to do.” Following this episode, he went on to invent color photography and sold the rights to Kodak Company. With this money, he set up a 10 year research program in his small Chiropractic clinic in Nebraska and developed, through trial and error, the techniques we know today as Sacro-Occipital Technique (S.O.T.) and Craniopathy. It was a concept ahead of his time, and as with many other life-changing discoveries, it took a while before he was able to convince fellow peers of the efficacy of these methods

I had the pleasure of studying under his direct tutelage when attending S.O.T. conferences as a Chiropractic student. After becoming licensed as a Chiropractor in the state of Washington, I went on to receive my certification in Craniopathy. Because this technique was the only technique that I could find to cure my own migraines, TMJ imbalance and reoccurring neck pain, I can honestly say that it has proven to me on a personal level how powerfully effective it can heal people.

Because this technique offers such a wide variety approach to the body, it has been my primary tool in determining how to heal my patients over the years. Here are some clear reasons why I continue to use this technique:

2. It is gentle – it doesn’t require brute strength on my part, nor strain to the patient.
3. It can be performed on patients of all ages with the same effectiveness.
4. You can best prep the patient for cranial treatment simply by using “blocks” or “wedges” along with other spinal procedures.
5. It is well researched and has been proven to be effective – definitely among the best techniques available for true healing.
